EVENT – Mahi Madness – 2021

Registration & fees: Please file out the registration form with Boat name, Captains name and info. Tournament fee will be $250 per boat, unlimited anglers can be on the boat but not to exceed your boats capacity. The tournament will be held Saturday July 24th 2021.

Captain’s Meeting: There will be a Zoom meeting on Friday July 23rd at 7PM. Meeting login info will be emailed to the captains. The rules of this tournament could be amended verbally or in writing up until the conclusion of the Captain’s meeting. All Anglers are responsible for being well informed of rules.

Rules: IGFA rules and regulations will apply throughout the Tournament. IGFA rules and regulations can be found in http://www.igfa.org/Fish/INTERNATIONAL-ANGLING-RULES.aspx No hand lines or electric reels may be used, No Wire Lines. Any protest concerning rules and or conduct violation will be handled on site by the committee by end of weigh in. All decisions made by tournament committee are final. All anglers must have a valid fishing license.

Territorial Limits: The fishing limits are the waters of the U.S. Boats may leave from any port but must be able to get to the weigh station in Fort Lauderdale between Noon – 5pm, Saturday July 25th 2020.

Eligible Fish: Dolphin – Weigh in committee will only accept up to 5 dolphin for the combined weight.  Largest FUN fish eligible are Tuna, King fish, Wahoo, Cobia. It is the responsibility of the boat to choose the fish they will weigh. ALL boats can keep their catch after they have been weighed. The committee will take any king fish donations caught in tournament.

Prizes will be awarded for:
• 1st Place $1,500
• 2nd Place $750
• 3rd Place $350
• Largest Dolphin $250
• Largest Fun Fish (Wahoo, Tuna, King Fish, Cobia) $250
• Big Dolphin Calcutta: $100

Boat entry with 75% payout to Winning Boat, 25% payout to Madison’s Wish.
Payout is for the single heaviest Dolphin caught.

Madison’s Ransom Calcutta: $200 Boat entry with 75% payout to Winning Boat, 25% payout to Madison’s Wish. Payout is for the heaviest aggregate of the tournament eligible fish WKTDC (Up to 4 Fish to be weighed)

Tournament Hours: Lines in the water at 7:30AM on Saturday, July 24, 2020. Lines out of the water at 3:00PM. Weigh – in will begin at 12PM will close at 5PM on Saturday, July 24, 2020. All boats must be visible to weigh in station prior to 5PM in order to have a fish weighed.

Communications: All boats should be equipped with VHF radio. The Tournament Committee will be monitoring channel 75. Tournament phone number is (954) 444 – 2901

Weigh Station Rules: Only 1 boat is allowed with their anglers on dock at a time. All anglers must wear
a face musk or covering at the Weigh Station. Committee will collect all fish to be weighed.
